By developing and implementing the operational goals of the substance use disorder division at Discovery, Joe ensures that staff and clinicians are providing effective, evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. With a passion for helping people in need, Joe’s mission is to improve access to services, remove barriers to treatment, help patients navigate the system and support families in crisis. We view family members as part of the treatment team and focus on healing together. We value our highly individualized treatment programs that address the specific needs and situation of each patient. We know that treatment is not only about the diagnosed issues, but also about the contributing factors that underlie those conditions. Treating More Than Just an Eating Disorder DiagnosisĪt Center for Discovery, our programs emphasize evidence-based, individualized treatment for every patient to support their growth and recovery. Treatment within a residential neighborhood or in an outpatient facility allows our patients to feel more comfortable in familiar surroundings and offers greater transferability of the healing experience to life after treatment. We provide treatment for only a small number of residential patients at one time to maintain an intimate setting and a high staff-to-resident ratio. Our locations across 15 states aim to help patients take control of their symptoms, feel better and have greater hope for the future.
